Sugar gliders live in numerous types of forested areas. One example is the Australian Rainforest. The Australian Rainforest consists of various species of animals and plants.
Climate
In the rainforests, summer is typically hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 75 Fahrenheit to 84 Fahrenheit. In comparison, winters are mild and dry, with temperatures ranging from 63 Fahrenheit to 79 Fahrenheit. The tropical climate shows warm and humid during the summer and cooler, drier weather in the winter. (Below shows current average temperature this month)
Commonly Found Plants
There are numerous types of plants in Australian Rainforest. The most common plants found are:
Orchids
Eucalyptus Trees
Epiphytes

How have climate and geography result in biodiversity?
Climate and Geography of the rainforest in Australia may have resulted in its biodiversity. This is because it receives large amounts of rainfall. Also, the temperature is warm and stable in these areas. Australian rainforests have various rivers, mountains, and other regions that plants and animals can thrive on. Plants and animals have adapted to this ecosystem—for instance, plants like epiphytes adapted to the limited sunlight, while animals such as sugar gliders have evolved to glide between trees to get food and avoid predators. Like kangaroos and koalas, they need plants like eucalyptus leaves that are common in the rainforest. This shows that based on the available resources, they adapt to what they have.
